Town have confirmed their final home pre-season game with another Premier League visiting the new stadium.
Newly promoted Stoke City will be the visitors on Saturday August 2nd as Paul Simpson makes his preparations for the forthcoming season.
This now means Town will take on Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Market Drayton at home and Stafford Rangers away. Their will hopefully be a second game at the new stadium if Town beat Market Drayton, but if they don't Simpson will look to slot in another game.
Town manager Paul Simpson confirmed the news to ShrewsWeb this afternoon: "It's another great game for the club with Tony Pullis bringing his Stoke City side to our place.
"To have them and West Bromwich Albion is great for the club and I'd like to thank Tony for agreeing to this game.
"It's two Premier League sides and two local sides so should make for a couple of great games for the club and for the fans."
