Guy Madjo has today left the club after he and manager Paul Simpson came to an agreement on the remainder of his contract.
Guy hadn't featured in the Town side this season other than a place on the bench in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win away to Exeter City.
He had the possibility of a number of loan moves but each time elected to stay with Town.
Town manager Paul Simpson revealed the news to ShrewsWeb this afternoon that Guy would be leaving: "We've eventually come to an agreement with Guy Madjo on the remainder of his contract.
"It's one of those things where it hasn't worked out for Guy Madjo or for Shrewsbury Town.
"We've terminated his contract and he can now move on and try and get himself fixed up.
"We tried to get him fixed up at a number of clubs but each time he's refused. We've terminated his contact and this will free up some space to strengthen the squad with players who are can affect what we want to do."
