Town take on Wycombe tomorrow and it is a top of the table clash in Coca Cola League 2.
Wycombe are easily the form side in the division and have shown consistency over the season to cement their place at the top of the table.Town though lie just behind Wycombe in third place and it should be a good game at the Prostar.
ShrewsWeb grabbed a quick word with Town captain Ben Davies before training for his thoughts on the big game: "They are the best team in the league and have proven that by being top of the league.
"We have a chance tomorrow to show what we are all about when we play them.
"It's a massive game for us because if we win tomorrow then we are only 4 points behind them going into the Christmas period.
"The lads are really up for it and we know that if we play well then we will get a result."
Town's form in the league at the Prostar has been good so far this season with only the one defeat.Benji is hoping that the side can continue this great form tomorrow and believes the home crowd can play a big part in this: "We know that when we play to the best of our abilities then we can match any side.
"The fans will come out in their numbers tomorrow, when they are on top they are absolutely brilliant and do act as that twelfth man.
"We know Wycombe are a very good team and we will need to be at our best to get a result from the game.
"The importance of the game is for all to see and the lads are really looking forward to it."
Ben missed a lot of the games in November due to hernia op but returned in the victory over Rotherham at the start of this month. It's taken a little while for the soreness to go but he is hoping that he is near to being back to full fitness: "The first couple of games were hard as I was still sore and aching a little bit.
"As training session and games go by I'm getting sharper and fitter.
"Hopefully over these important games that will have paid off and I will be back to my best."
