The club have got the results on Kevin McIntyre's injury and it isn't looking too good.
Macca took a knock in the first half of the 1-1 draw with Port Vale at the weekend and then needed to be helped from the pitch in the second half.
The early indications were that Macca had a problem with his calf but over the weekend further investigation has revealed he has a double fracture of the right fibula.
Macca will see a specialist as soon as possible and the club will have a better idea of the implications and recovery time of the injury then.
Town manager Paul Simpson revealed the news to ShrewsWeb this morning:" It's a big blow for Kevin and for us as he's been doing well for us recently.
"We will have a better idea of the long term prognosis once we've seen the specialist and will have a better understanding how it will affect us."
