There has been lots and lots of speculation and articles going around linking Town with a move for Macclesfield Town's Terry Dunfield.

ShrewsWorld grabbed a quick word with Town manager Paul Simpson to find out if there was any substance to the stories.

Simmo confirmed there had been contact between the parties but that it looked like nothing would now happen: "We had a nominal fee for the player accepted by Macclesfield Town.

"I then spoke to the player about a move to the club but we were unable to agree terms.

"So as it stands at the moment there is nothing happening with this."
