Town have today confirmed that midfielder/striker Omer Riza is currently on trial at the club.

Omer is currently serving a 4 month ban from the Turkish FA which means he is unable to play any competitive matches during that time.

Omer has been training with the club for a number of weeks and has impressed Town manager Paul Simpson: "I remember Omer from before he went out to play in Turkey and at the time I was interested in taking him.

"He went over to Turkey to play, he did really well and made it into the national side but then a new manager came into his club side and he fell out of favour.

"It is a good opportunity to take a long look at a player with a good pedigree with the view for the long term."
