Shrewsbury are on their travels again this weekend when they make the trip to Moss Rose to face Macclesfield, knowing they'll have to improve to turn their wretched away form around.

Last weekend's 3-1 loss at Luton saw Town unable to pick up their second away win of the season, and stretched their search for a victory away from the Prostar to 15 games.

Paul Simpson's men know that this winless run cannot go on forever, but it needs to be rectified quickly to keep Salop in the race for promotion.

Macclesfield currently occupy 16th in the League Two table and their home form hasn't been great so far this season, with only five wins coming from 16 games. The Silkmen have also failed to win in their last six, and lost 3-1 away to Gillingham on Saturday.

The two sides last met on the first day of the season, with Town thrashing Keith Alexander's side 4-0, however in last season's corresponding fixture Salop lost 2-1 thanks to goals from Francis Green and former Shrew Jamie Tolley.

David Worrall could be in line for his first Shrewsbury appearance following his loan move from West Bromwich Albion earlier in the week.

Elsewhere in League Two this weekend, there's a huge game at the top of table when leaders Brentford take on third placed Bury at Griffin Park as the two most in-form sides in the league go head-to-head.

Second placed Wycombe travel to Morecambe, with Peter Taylor hoping his side can end their poor run of form of late, which has seen only four wins in their last 11 games.

As far as Town's main rivals go, Rochdale entertain struggling Grimsby, and Bradford travel to Notts County.

Darlington also play Exeter as 7th meet 8th, but with the Quakers falling into administration this week, the 10 point penalty could see them slip into the bottom half of the table come Saturday.
