Jacko Out

There has been a big blow on the injury front with the news that Mike Jackson will be missing for the rest of the season.

Jacko had a scan late last week and saw a specialist and it's been found that he has a torn cartlidge in his right leg.Jacko picked up an injury in the game at Luton Town and it has been found to be worse than originally expected.

He will undergo surgery on Wednesday and this will keep Jacko out of the remainder of the season.

Town boss Paul Simpson revealed the new to ShrewsWeb this morning: "It is a massive blow for us to now be missing Jacko for the rest of the season.

"It is a big blow for Jacko who had done well after coming back into the side.

"It is just one of those things we have got to deal with and get on with.

"Kelvin Langmead has come in and this now gives him the chance to continue and hopefully he will grab that chance with both hands."
