Paul Murray has recently been putting in some of his best performances in a Town shirt. His presence in the heart of the midfield has seen his experience put to good use.
With over 400 appearances and having played at the highest level in England, Scotland and Portugal this experience will be vital in the end of season push.
ShrewsWeb grabbed a word with Muzza this morning and started by asking how the mood was in the Town camp: "The feeling in the camp is very upbeat and positive after the away performance at Aldershot.
"We worked very hard in that game, put in a good solid performance; the big man had a chance early on with a header and we could have nicked the game at the end.
"Our away record speaks for itself so we have to take this step in the right direction and the next step is to go away to Gillingham and win. We all want to get that win but if we have to come away with a draw then I would be satisfied with that but the win would put us right back amongst it with some huge games to come."
The point at Aldershot was an important one as it put pay to the previous poor away results at Luton and Macclesfield Town: "We had two horrible away defeats and the next thing we had to do was not concede and that was the formation we played.
"We played 4-5-1 but that is still an attacking formation as it can quickly change to a 4-3-3.
"When we went to Bradford earlier in the season and drew we played ever so well, we then draw at Port Vale but then we went to the likes of Luton and Macclesfield that saw us let all that hard work go."
With Grant Holt playing as the loan front man at Aldershot it was important for the team to get up and support. When this happened it quickly became can become a 4-3-3 with Ben Davies and David Worrall. The support is there for Holty but Muzza believes that his team mates should now look to help on the goal scoring front: "We have to be critical of each other as all through the season we haven't got enough goals from other areas of the field.
"Benji has popped up with double figures, Holty has got his 24 but other than that I've got 2, Kev Mac has got 3, Cocko with 3 but there aren't enough goals from other areas of the pitch.
"We've not had another striker this season who has been up there with Holty getting into double figures, other sides who are around us have a couple of strikers who are on double figures.
"We've seen a bit from Ashikodi in the last games where he's got us a penalty, got a goal and looked dangerous but unfortunately away from home we have played a different formation."
With 9 games reaming there are still a lot of points to be played for. The aim from the Town squad is to look at winning every game and getting the points to achieve their goal: "Who says we can't win those 9 games? There is no law that says we can't and there are only another 11 individuals trying to stop us from doing that.
"If we are better them that on the day and we take our chances then anything is possible,
"Statistically our away from has been poor all season but why can't we change that now.
"It is there for us we just have to have that mindset where it is possible.
"When I was at Oldham we needed to win 9 games from 12 to stay in the league, in the end we won 9, drew 2 and lost the 1 game. Things like that can be done and if we believe that it is possible then we will make it happen.
"We are still going for automatic promotion but if we fail with that then the next best thing is the play-offs. If that is the way it has to be them so be it, we then get to the final and win that."
Muzza ended with a call for everyone to pull together to help the club achieve that goal of promotion: "Everything will change for everyone here should we gain promotion.
"Everyone's credibility steps up, the players, the lads who are out of contract may see the gaffer give them another deal, everyone will have that they helped a side get promoted on their CV's.
"You get promoted then you are entertaining better teams and get better crowds so it is better for everyone.
"Everyone is included and everyone should be involved in the push from the cleaners to all of the staff around the club.
"We want to get this club to where I believe it belongs and that is the league above, and then the Championship, but let's get ourselves over this little hurdle and then push on from there."
