After last week's comeback at Gillingham, Shrewsbury will be hoping to continue their current four match unbeaten run when Morecombe visit the Prostar Stadium on Saturday.
With only eight games remaining for Town in League Two this season, boss Paul Simpson knows that a good run could see them clinch a play-off place or better as the race for promotion reaches its final straight.
This weekend's visitors though have ambitions themselves of a spot in League One next season, with the Shrimps currently on a fantastic run of 11 games without defeat, with four away victories in that spell.
Last weekend saw Barnet travel to Christie Park, with the home side winning 2-1, and are currently 5th in the League Two form table with 12 points from their last six games.
That form has seen Sammy McIlroy's side propelled up to 11th in the league, and only seven points behind Town with a game in hand, so will be desperately trying to take all three points when the two sides clash.
There could also be a familiar face in Morecambe's side should former Shrew Stuart Drummond line up against his former club, and he has been in fine form this season with seven goals so far this campaign, only behind top scorer Rene Howe who's on 11.
However that's still a long way behind Grant Holt, who after notching a brace last week now has 26 goals this season, and he'll be hoping to add to that total come Saturday as Salop hope to take another step towards promotion.
Two of Town's promotion rivals face off on Saturday when third-placed Wycombe host fourth-placed Rochdale, whilst leaders Brentford face Dagenham and Redbridge on Monday night, so second-placed Gillingham will be hoping to close the gap to three points when they travel to relegation-threatened Grimsby.
As for the Shrews' closest rivals, Bury welcome Chester to Gigg Lane, and Exeter make the trip Accrington Stanley.
