As previously reported on ShrewsWeb Omer Riza has been training with Town since the turn of the year.A ban imposed by the Turkish FA means that Omer can't take part in any first team football until this has been sorted.

He has taken part in a couple of training games with Crewe and Wolves and was Town's scorer in last week's game at Wolves.

Town and Omer's representatives have spoken to the FA and to FIFA to challenge the Turkish FA's ruling and this is currently in progress.FIFA had given the Turkish FA until Monday to give their reasons for the ban.

The Turkish FA lodged their reasoning at the final minute and FIFA will now review this.A judge in Switzerland will now look at the case and a ruling is expected in the next couple of weeks.

It's disappointing news for Omer and Town who had been hoping a FIFA ruling would have been made yesterday and that Omer would be cleared to play in this afternoon's reserve game.
