Town have today taken young midfielder Joss Labadie on an initial month's loan from West Bromwich Albion. Joss had a short spell at the Prostar last season before a broken foot cut short that loan.
Joss was at the Prostar this morning to complete the paperwork before he joined up with his new team mates in training.
ShrewsWeb spoke to Joss during the break between training and started by suggesting that is was a case of unfinished business: "Hopefully I can make it last a little longer this time and get through to January.
"It's great to be back though and I'm really looking forward to the challenge ahead."
Joss was pleased to be back at the Prostar and looking forward to getting down to work: "It's a lovely club to come back to and you just have to look around at the facilities here.
"I can't wait to get cracking in training and hopefully get my chance in the first team."
His one appearance in a Town shirt came in the away trip last January at Bradford City. His performance was a decent one and he wants to build on that now with more: "I thought I did alright in the game and would really have liked to have pushed on from there.
"It was great to have the chance to play in front of 13,000 people and after getting a little taste for it that is what I want to be doing that ever week."
The broken foot kept him out of action for a while and by the time it had healed the loan window had closed. The injury is now healed and after a number of games in the reserves he's looking forward to getting back to first team action: "I went back to Albion and rested up to allow the foot to heal but by the time I was back the loan window had closed.
"I played in a few of the reserve games at the end of the season and now I'm fit and raring to go."
Joss is still in the plans at Albion after signing a new year- long deal with the club. Albion do keep a close eye on their young players when they are out on loan and Joss is hoping that they will like what they see: "I signed a new one year deal at the start of the season because last year with my injuries I didn't get the chance to show what I can do.
"This year I'm looking to progress my career and to continue to push on.
"Albion does have people who come down and watch you when you are loan so hopefully they will be keeping an eye on me.
The Town squad has changed a little since last January but Joss first impressions are good ones. He now wants to get down to the hard work and to earn his chance in the Town first team: "The squad looks good and the gaffer has brought in some good people to add to it.
"I want to train well, be in the manager's thoughts and then to be in his starting eleven come the weekend.
"Hopefully I can bring a bit of steel and bite to the midfield and help us to start the season in a positive way.
"I can't wait to crack on with things and to get my chance to play here. "
Joss Labadie will have squad number 25.
