David Button's loan spell at Town has been extended for am extra month.

Button has done well since coming in as cover for the injured Chris Neal.Neal is now fit again but a hernia problem with Andreas Arestidou meant the Town would be down to one keeper if Button had to return to Tottenham.

Simmo revealed that he spoke to Tottenham yesterday and they are happy for Dave to stay with Town: "I've spoke to Harry Redknapp yesterday morning and Tottenham have agreed to extend the loan for at least another month.

"He's on one of these youth loans where we can review it month by month but when we get to the end of February when David turns 21 then we have to turn it to an emergency loan if we are going to continue after that.

"I'm pleased that I've got him with us for the next few weeks and we will see how he goes from there.

"He's improving with ever game that he has been playing for us so let's hope that continues."
