Posted on: Fri 15 Jan 2010

Shrewsbury Town striker Nathan Elder has gone out on loan to Blue Square Premier side AFC Wimbledon until the end of the season.

Nathan has failed to hold down a regular spot since his summer move from Brentford despite making a bright start to his Town career.

The move was fianlised late this afternoon with Nathan completing the paperwork and medical down in South London in time to be available for the Dons game with Mansfield tomorrow.

Simmo revealed the new this afternoon and hopes that the move will give Nathan a boost: "It is a good opportunity for Nathan to go out and get some football under his belt.

"It hasn't quite worked out for Nathan with us as yet so hopefully this will give him a little boost.

"This might now give us the opportunity to get some more new faces in to bolster the squad for the second half of the season."
