Nathan Elder was injured in his last game at AFC Wimbledon away to Tamworth and left the pitch on a stretcher. AFC Wimbledon medical team first assessed him and felt that the injury wasn't that significant. Following Nathan's return to the club and reassessment by the club's medical team Nathan was diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament tear of his left knee and will be requiring surgery.

The early indications are that following his operation Nathan will be out of action for 6 to 9 months.
