The other player to agree a deal is Shane Cansdell-Sherriff who has signed a new deal with the club.Shane moved to Town two years ago and has established himself as a first team regular making over 72 appearances for the club.
It is good news for Town manager Graham Turner as he looks forward to the pre-season and assessing his new charges: "The addition of Ian Sharps to the squad is a big boost for the side as he is a very good player.
"You need to have the right type of players in all position and Ian certainly fits that bill."
"Shane agreeing to extend his stay at the club is another boost as you need competitions in all places.
"The two agreeing deals is a big boost and I can't wait for the start of pre-season and getting down to work."
