25-year-old Mat Sadler started his career with Birmingham City and made his Premier League debut at 19 after captaining the England under-16 and under-17 sides. He made 15 appearances in the premiership before he joined Watford for £750,000 in January 2008. His first Championship season was relatively successful as Watford made the play-off semi finals, with Sadler appearing in both legs in a defeat against eventual final winners Hull City. The following season saw Mat fall out of favour mid way through the season and his only first team football since then has been on loan with Stockport in League one. He is also with us on loan until January 2011.
