Stafford born centre forward Dave Hibbert started his career with Port Vale before a £150,000 move to Preston North End.
It didn't work out brilliantly for Dave at Preston and he ended up on a six month loan at Rotherham United before moving onto Bradford City also on loan at the start of 2007. During February he suffered an ankle injury which kept him out for the rest of the season. After returning to Deepdale, Hibbert joined Shrewsbury for a nominal fee in June 2007.
Dave has become popular amongst many fans for his 100% work ethic and never say die attitude. He seems to have got to the bottom of his injury problems and has been like a new signing this season finding the net on a regular basis.
