Town's reserves started their totesport.com season with an excellent 3-1 win away to Bury.
The first got better for Town with Harry Hooman and then Kris Bright adding a second and third just before the half-time break.
The second half saw Town continue to work hard and put in a good performance which saw them earn and moral boosting win.
After the game coach Mike Jackson spoke to ShrewsWeb and was pleased with what he had seen: "I thought the lads were excellence this evening and there was some excellent finishing.
"It's been frustrating for them as they haven't started for the 1st team but they have done everything that we have asked of them.
"As a group they have been excellent and done the extra work and the attitude they' shown was great and there has never been any sulking.
"It was an encouraging display and performance and they lads have done themselves no harm."
