Shrewsbury Town hosted the recent Cycle Shrewsbury Fun Freewheel at the Prostar Stadium.

The event saw cyclists come to the stadium to have their bikes checked and security marked as well as receive advice of cycling. A number of children received cycle training in the safety of the Prostar car park, with two being able to take their stabilisers off for the first time.

To coincide with the event Cycle Shrewsbury released a new leaflet that has a 7 mile cycle route which takes in Shrewsbury Town's footballing history. The route starts at the Prostar Stadium and then takes you to Sutton Lane, The Racecourse Ground, Ambler's Field, Gay Meadow and Copthorne Barracks. Kelvin Langmead and Dave Hibbert popped along to help Cycle Shrewsbury to launch the new routes.
