SHREWSBURY TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB ENCOURAGES SUPPORTERS WHEREVER POSSIBLE TO WALK, CYCLE OR USE THE TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS ORGANISED BY THE CLUB.
The Football Club works closely with the Liaison Group and Shropshire Council to produce an Annual Travel Plan that assists spectators to get to the Stadium as easily and effectively as possible. Last Season saw a further reduction in passenger numbers using the Town Centre Service and Park and Ride Services to the extent that the Football Club have reached the situation where it is experiencing unsustainable losses in conveying spectators by bus on match days. To minimise these financial losses, a number of changes have had to be made to the services provided.
IMPORTANT CHANGES TO PARK AND RIDE SERVICES
Harlescott Park and Ride Site will only be served by a Park and Ride Service for high profile games. Full details will be announced on the Club's web site in advance of these games. The site can still be used for spectator parking for those supporters who have pre-booked their seats on the North Shropshire Supporters' Bus which will now pick up at the site. Spectators intending to use the service must book their seats in advance. North Shropshire patrons please note that the bus will now pick up 5 minutes earlier from each pick-up point. (For more information see paragraph 'Coach Services from Outlying Areas - North Shropshire').
The Town Centre Service will pick up at The Shirehall. As well as Saturday matches the service has been reinstated mid-week and the frequency of journeys has been increased (see paragraph 'Express Bus Service' for more details). The dedicated and extra Park and Ride Service from The Shirehall will only be used for high profile games. Full details will be announced on the Club's web site in advance of these games. The site can still be used for spectator parking for all matches.
Spectators are advised to log into the Club's web site:www.shrewsburytown.com for any changes to services that might apply on a matchly basis.
Fares for adults and children under 16 will remain unchanged.
Express Bus Service Town Centre/Shirehall All STFC 1st Team Matches
A bus service will run three journeys from the town's bus station to and from the stadium for Saturday and two journeys for mid-week matches. The service will pick up at The Shirehall Car Park. The time tables are as follows:

18.15 18.30 18.40
19.00 19.15 19.25
The return service will leave the stadium from behind the South Stand ten minutes after the end of the match.
From Shrewsbury Town Centre, proceed to the English Bridge and at the first set of traffic lights, turn right into Coleham Head. Continue on the main road which is Belle Vue Road and Hereford Road, until you reach the BP Garage on your left, which is close to Meole Brace Roundabout.
From Meole Brace Roundabout or Old Potts Way supporters have a choice of either using the footpaths on either side of Oteley Road or the public right of way from the underpass at the back of Meole Brace Retail Park which gives access to the stadium at the rear of the west stand.
From the Sutton area use the footpath to the traffic signal controlled access road to the stadium.
Cycle racks are provided at each corner of the stadium. A guide to cycle routes produced by Shropshire County Council is available from the Club's offices and Council outlets. Further information is also available atwww.shropshire.gov.uk/cycling.nsf. A further link -www.transportdirect.info - will assist cyclists to find a cycle route to the Stadium direct from their chosen starting point in Shrewsbury.
Cycling is one of the most convenient ways of getting to and from the stadium. We would encourage you to use a bicycle and at the same time to keep in trim!
Parking spaces are available on site for motor cycles. Motor cyclists may also use the Park and Ride and Park and Walk facilities highlighted elsewhere in this Plan.
