A quick guide to visiting the Croud Meadow

Empty-meadow.jpg

Shrewsbury Town Football Club was formed in 1886 and has been a cornerstone of the Shropshire community ever since. In 2007 the club moved to Croud Meadow, an all-seater stadium, built just to the south of the picturesque town of Shrewsbury.

Accessed by Oteley Road the football ground is within easy access of the A5 and just a 30-minute walk from Shrewsbury Town Centre.

The purpose-built stadium has a capacity of 9,875 across four stands. These include the Rybrook Shrewsbury Stand (3,317 seats), the Roland Wycherley East Stand (2,741 seats), the Salop Leisure South Stand (1,400 seats/555 safe standing) and the DMOS People North Stand (1796 seats for Away Supporters).

The Roland Wycherley Stand also includes 8 executive boxes, comfy seats for Sovereign Club members and sponsors and a family stand for the younger generation.

The Salop Leisure Stand includes a Safe Standing section of 555 spaces. This was opened in 2018 and is the first of its kind in England or Wales.

Situated on the South side of Shrewsbury, the Croud Meadow is just a stone’s throw away from the A5 and A49.

If you are travelling from the North (Warrington) or South (Hereford) then you will arrive in Shrewsbury on the A49 and you should follow the signs to the football ground.

If you are travelling from either the West (Mid-Wales) or the East (Birmingham) then you will arrive in Shrewsbury on the A5 and you should also follow signs for the football club.

If you would like to find us on google maps then put in ‘Shrewsbury Town Football Club’. If you are using a Sat-Nav then our postcode is ‘SY2 6ST’.

You will find information on parking arrangements further down the page.

Shrewsbury railway station is two miles from the stadium. On leaving the railway station proceed to the bus station (300 yards) to travel on the Express Bus Service or Arriva-operated services.

A bus service will run three journeys from the town's bus station to and from the stadium for Saturday and two journeys for mid-week matches.

The service will pick up at the Shirehall Car Park.

The return service will leave the stadium from behind the South Stand ten minutes after the end of the match.

There are a number of parking options available for games at the Croud Meadow in and around the stadium.
