New programme a hit with fans

Shrewsbury Town's matchday programme continues to attract favourable reviews - with a Preston North End supporting writing to the club to congratulate editor Ian Whitfield on the quality of the publication.

Stewart Cross, from Longridge, near Preston, was impressed with the content when he read a copy after North End's recent visit.

Stewart wrote: "I was particularly impressed with the detail of old Preston teams and players and the article on all the division one teams.

"All in all, it was an excellent read, one of the best programmes I have seen - it was just a pity about the result on the night! - but keep up the good work."

This season's Town programme has increased in size by eight pages to 78 pages, including the popular collector cards, and remains priced at £3.

"Sales have been healthy so far and the response from supporters has been very positive," said programe editor Ian Whitfield. "We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of writers and photographers and I'm proud of the programme we manage to produce with a number of new features in this season's edition."

Programmes are available from sellerss at various points outside and inside the Greenhous Meadow on match days while back copies can be purchased from the club shop and are also available to be bought online from http://www.shrewsshop.com/
