15 August 2012

Nearly 1000 sold for Sheffield trip

Tickets are on sale and selling well for Shrewsbury Town's opening fixtures in League One.
Over 800 tickets for the away end at Sheffield United have been sold so far while tickets are also available from the Greenhous Meadow box office for the home matches against Preston North End next Tuesday night and Tranmere Rovers the following Saturday.
"We took a great following of over 1,200 to Leeds last weekend and it would be great to take a similar number to Bramall Lane on Saturday," said Sean Evans, ticket supervisor at Shrewsbury Town.
"Tickets are also selling well for the opening home games and there is a lot excitement around the club and all the supporters I'm talking to are positive about the season ahead."
Tickets for the Sheffield United match are £19.50 for adults, £15 concessions and £9.50 for supporters aged 15 and under.
The ticket office is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm while supporters can also purchase tickets by phoning (01743) 273943 and online at
