Another Welsh U21 chance for Bradders
Tom Bradshaw has been called up for Wales under-21s once again with his Shrewsbury Town team mate Ryan Doble on stand by for the squad which will travel to the Czech Republic next month.
Geraint Williams, the Welsh under-21 manager, has named his squad for the match at the Chance Arena, Jablonec nad Nisou which will kick off at 4.30pm UK time on Monday, September 10.
The match is the final UEFA qualifier of this tournament with Wales unable to qualify.
Both Bradshaw and Doble were unused subs when Wales lost 1-0 against Armenia at Wrexham earlier this month.
"I went along to Wrexham to watch Tom and Ryan play in the last under-21 game and neither of them got any action," said Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner.
"Tom's obviously got on in the last two matches for us and has done okay so he's pushing for a place in the first team. I just hope he's not going to travel all the way to the Czech Republic and sit on the bench. He's better off playing in our side.
"It's one of the problems as you want players to get international experience, international exposure, but it does create a problem when he's next in line as our striker so if we get injuries he will be available."
As for former Southampton man Doble being on stand by, the boss added: "There's very rarely any international squads that don't finish up with players withdrawing so at the moment I wouldn't take it as read that he will be available to us.
"It wouldn't surprise me to see him on the plane to these far horizons that international players are now performing."
