Taylor Hopeful For Brentford

Young winger's hamstring not as bad a first thought

There was concern in the second half of the 2-2 draw at Bury when young winger Jon Taylor went down with an injury.  He was quickly replaced and the early postmatch prognosis was that he had picked up a hamstring injury.

Jon has been receiving treatment from the physio's and it's been confirmed that he has picked up a slight hamstring.  The good news is that it only seems to be a few fibres that are affected and the physio's haven't ruled him out of the Notts County game.

ShrewsWeb spoke to manager Graham Turner this morning and he was revealed with the news:”He's tweaked a few hamstrings fibres, how quickly it will heal up is the questions.

“The physio team are confident that if he's not fit for the Notts County game then he will be for Saturday.

“It's still touch and go for the next game but not as bad as we first feared.”

There was some disappointing news though with Mark Wright not yet returning to training as he's still having a slight problem with his knee.
