Delighted to represent the club at a special lunch with Her Majesty The Queen
Shrewsbury Town chairman Roland Wycherley was delighted to represent the club at a special lunch with Her Majesty The Queen.
Mr Wycherley, who has been chairman for 16 years, was part of a select gathering invited to have lunch with the Queen during her visit to Shropshire last Thursday as part of the UK Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen had lunch with around 100 guests at RAF Cosford.
"It was a great occasion and I was delighted to be invited by Keith Barrow, the leader of Shropshire Council," said Mr Wycherley.
"It reflects on the status of Shrewsbury Town within Shropshire and it was an honour to represent the club at such a prestigious occasion.
"It was lovely to see the Queen visit Shropshire and I was fortunate to be sat quite close to Her Majesty. It was a day to remember."
