Elliot Turner and Ryan Woods making good progress
Graham Turner admits he's been impressed how how grown midfielders Ryan Woods and Elliot Turner have handled the step up into the first team squad.
The two youngsters from the West Midlands were promoted to the professional ranks after catching the eye for Shrewsbury Town's youth team over the last two years.
Woods signed a one year pro deal and Turner was given an initial six-month deal which he is keen to see extended.
The manager said: "They've done okay. Ryan, in particular, has settled well into midfield and not looked out of place with the pros.
"Elliot has done okay as well. He's working hard and with each day I can see him growing in confidence.
"It's never easy to step up from the youth side to the first team squad."
Both teenage midfielders will hope to be given the chance to impress for Shrewsbury during the pre-season friendlies which begin at Evesham on Thursday night.
