Movember at STFC

20 November 2012

Town staff grow facial hair for charity

Shrewsbury Town staff have thrown their support behind the national Movember campaign in support of Prostate Cancer research.

The idea is for men to grow a moustache for the entire month of November and to gather donations for the worthy cause.

Shrewsbury Town's community development manager Martin James, media manager Ian Whitfield, ticket office supervisor Sean Evans, commercial development manager Richard Hill and Simon Evans from the Greenhous Meadow club shop have all got involved.

Martin said: "Despite some being able to sprout a 'tash' quicker than others, it is all good fun and a number of other staff and a few players are joining in the fun.

"We have all taken a bit of friendly banter and comparisons with famous 'tash' and beard wearers have caught the imagination. Personally, I can’t wait to shave it off!”
