Andy Pugh completes “Great Big Bike Ride”

Shrewsbury Town general manager Andrew Pugh recently completed the Severn Hospice's “Great Big Bike Ride” - a 50km bike ride around north Shropshire.

Andrew, who has worked at the Greenhous Meadow for three and a half years, is no stranger to sporting challenges for charity and he was pleased to raise £330.

Last year he took part in the London Kayakathon on the River Thames, paddling marathon distance and raising £900.

Now he's already looking forward to the Severn Hospice 100 mile bike ride from Ironbridge to Barmouth next August.

A keen sportsman, Andrew, a member of the SYtri Club, took part in his first sprint triathlon last weekend, the Ludlow Sprint.

He swam 400 metres before cycling 27K and ending with a 6.5K run.

He clocked an impressive 1:58:46 from an event which attracted 350 competitors.
