New concourse TVs to debut at Walsall game

Shrewsbury Town have taken delivery of 24 new televisions to enhance the matchday experience of supporters.

They will be switched on for the first time at Sunday's home game against Walsall with the club hopeful they will prove a popular addition to the concourses at the Greenhous Meadow.

"The club have invested in a new system which we believe is a big improvement," said Richard Hill, Shrewsbury Town's commercial development manager.

"There used to be just eight TVs in the concourses so now having 24 means there are a lot more in place while there's also one in the main reception.

"They are divided into different segments, with the main one showing Sky Sports before and after the game and at half time, while during the match the feed of the game being played will continue to be shown along with the Radio Shropshire commentary.

"There is also the provision to share information such as team news for supporters entering the stadium and there's also scope for adverstising which will bring in additional revenue.

"It's a new medium to give supporters an enhanced Greenhous Meadow matchday experience."
