Loanee looking forward to getting his Town chance
Loan signing Jeremy Helan was all smiles after his first training session with his new Shrewsbury Town team mates this morning.
The Manchester City left winger, 20, was quickly made to feel welcome in his new surroundings and will now be hoping to figure against Colchester United on Saturday.
"I'm very happy to be here to get some league games," said the Frenchman. "I was very happy to train with them today and to meet my new team mates, the manager, the staff and I enjoyed it.
"I knew coming here was a possibility and when something happened I was ready to take it. "
Helan, who had a spell on loan at Carlisle United last season, stressed he was equally comfortable at left back or as a left winger.
Now he's looking forward to show what he can do after making his first team debut for Manchester City as a substitute in last month's Capital One Cup defeat at home to Aston Villa.
"It was very exciting and there were some great players in the team," he said. "There were a lot of international players and it was a very good experience which is something I won't forget."
