Matt Richards looking forward to trip to Donny

Skipper Matt Richards hopes this weekend's trip to Doncaster Rovers can deliver a first away win of the season for Shrewsbury Town.

There were two divisions between the clubs last season before Doncaster suffered the huge disappointment of relegation from the Championship at the same time as Town were celebrating promotion from League Two.

Shrewsbury have come close to winning on the road a number of times already this term with Tuesday's goalless draw at Brentford following on from other near misses in picking up a point at both Stevenage and Hartlepool United.

"A couple of times we've been really unfortunate but that's the way it goes," said Richards. "We've just got to keep working hard and it will come.

"There's no worries for us. We'll just keep picking up as many points as we can and we'll be in a good position."

Town have not played at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium before and Richards insisted it was a match he and his team mates were looking forward to.

He added: "It's a nice stadium and they're a good team so it's going to be difficult for us but there were positives the way we played at Brentford and if we can take that performance and work as hard as we can then we're going to trouble them.

"It's quite an even league and if we play as well as we can, I don't see why we can't take maximum points there."
