Striker Joins Up

26 October 2012

Swansea City striker joins on loan ahead of Colchester game

Town manager Graham Turner has this morning confirmed that he’s brought in 20 year old Jamie Proctor in on a month’s loan from Swansea City pending international clearance.

The Preston born striker came through the youth and reserves before making the break through to the first team.  He played 37 games for Preston before Premiership Swansea City brought him to the Liberty Stadium in the summer.

With yesterdays news that winger Jeremy Helan was joining from Man City gives the manager two exiting options ahead of the weekends game with Colchester United:” “Jamie played a few games in the Championship for Preston and then left to join Swansea for a fee,” said boss Graham Turner.

“He’s 6 ft 1, 6ft 2 and mobile and gives us another good option going into the weekend.

The manager has also confirmed that Sam Winnall will be returning to Wolves to get treatment for his hamstring problem.  Town will continue to track Winnall to see has his rehabilitation goes.

Yesterday the manager had spoken that he hoped to bring two players in today, this is still the case but due to personal reasons the other new face won’t be joining today.  It’s hoped that this deal will come to fruition either this week of the week after.
