Weale looking forward to Pompey trip

"It's a fantastic place to play" says Town keeper

Goalkeeper Chris Weale, fresh from his man of the match display against Walsall last weekend, is excited about sampling the Fratton Park atmosphere once again on Saturday.

Weale played at Portsmouth for his former club Leicester City and stressed it was a special place to play.

But the 30-year-old added there was nothing for Town to fear as they go in search of more League One points on the south coast.

"I don't think Shrewsbury have been there for a while and it's a big stage but they are in League One," said Weale.

"They are Portsmouth and it's Fratton Park and everything but they're in a similar position to what we are.

"I've played there before and it's a fantastic place to play. The crowd are very good behind the goal and they create a very good atmosphere.

"They're in the same position as us, same league, almost the same position, so there's no reason why we should go with any fear."
