Hundreds of children receive coaching from CST
Shrewsbury Town's Community Sports Trust have been delighted with the response from youngsters to their coaching sessions over the summer holidays.
Hundreds of happy youngsters have enjoyed the opportunity to perfect their skills and keep themselves occupied during the long break from school lessons.
"We've had a great response and numbers have been up this summer," said Lee Pugh, the right hand man to Trust manager Brian Williams, a former Town captain.
"The youngsters have really enjoyed themselves which is great to see and the visits we've had from Shrewsbury Town players have been very well received.
"As an extra bonus for children who have attended for at least three days a week, they have been given two junior tickets for a home match thanks to Shrewsbury Town."
The popular weekly sessions will now resume later this month now that children are back at school.
Open to both boys and girls aged between five and 14, sessions are held on the Power League pitches adjacent to the Greenhous Meadow stadium.
They will restart on Saturday, September 15 between 9.30-11am with the Monday classes getting under way again on September 17 between 4.45-5.45pm.
Cost is £5 per session while five Monday classes are available for the price of four, £20.
Youngsters can just turn up on the day while more details are available from (01743) 289177 extension 215/216.
