Fans urged to snap up tickets early

Buy early to beat the queues

Shrewsbury Town supporters are urged to snap up their tickets for tonight's attractive home match against Coventry City as early as possible to avoid congestion at the ticket office windows.

We anticipate a decent crowd for the first home league match against the Sky Blues for 49 years.

Sean Evans, ticket office supervisor at the Greenhous Meadow, said: "It would be great if supporters can try and buy their tickets as soon as they get the opportunity just to ease any potential for queues the closer it gets to kick off tonight.

"It promises to be an exciting game and this was one of the first matches supporters looked for when the fixtures were released in the summer.

"The support both at home and away this season has been superb and, as the manager and players so often say, it does make a real difference."

Tickets are available up until kick off from the Greenhous Meadow ticket office or by phoning (01743) 273943 by 5pm.

Online sales for tonight's game have now closed.
