Shrewsbury Town FC Community Sports Trust is once again linking with youth charity The Prince’s Trust to run its highly successful -  “Get Started with Football” - programme for young people aged 16 to 18 who are unemployed and live in Shropshire.

The programme runs for 10 days and is FREE to participants.  It is a great opportunity to find out about the many jobs people do in the football industry through meeting and watching them in their environment at the football club.  Participants also get the opportunity to take their FA level One football coaching badge which includes training in emergency first aid and child safeguarding.  All young people taking part in the course will be offered ongoing mentoring support to help them find a job.  Three in four young people helped by the Prince’s Trust move into work or training.

Get Started with Football runs from 17th -28th Sept Mon –Friday 

Interested young people will be invited to a Taster session on Wed 12th Sept to see if it’s for them.
