Jacobson out of action after training injury

Joe Jacobson has been ruled out of Shrewsbury Town's plans for between four to six weeks after suffering an ankle injury in training.

It is a big blow both to the club and also the player after the former Wales under-21 international had been recalled for the last two games against Coventry and Hartlepool.

Town physio Chris Skitt said: "Unfortunately, Joe picked up a nasty looking injury during training in an accidental collision.

"JJ twisted his ankle quite severely and will subsequently miss four to six weeks of action.

"This is a disappointment to both me and JJ who had just got himself back into the team.

"Injury is part and parcel of football and I’m sure Joe will work really hard to get himself back as soon as possible."
