Ex Town manager passes away
John Bond
The club are saddened by this morning’s news of the sad passing of former manager John Bond.
John came to the club as assistant to Asa Harford from January 1990 and then served as the clubs manager between January 1991 and July 1993.
He started his career in football in 1950 playing for West Ham United and went on to make over 500 appearances for West Ham and Torquay United. He moved into management in 1970 at AFC Bournemouth and then had spells in charge of Norwich City, Manchester City, Burnley, Swansea City and Birmingham City.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this sad time.
