Early Bird deadline finishes but still great value with 6 free game
Sales of Shrewsbury Town's attractive Early Bird season ticket offer have exceeded the club’s expectations.
Supporters have flocked to take advantage of the special pricing structure on offer for next season at the Greenhous Meadow which equates to eight free matches.
A pleasing total of 2,159 season tickets have already been sold with 92 more applications under the Zebra Finance scheme which were received ahead of the deadline still being processed.
Roland Wycherley, the Shrewsbury Town chairman, said he was delighted with the response of the club's loyal supporters.
“We were somewhat concerned at one point that the difficult battle to stay in League One might affect sales," he said. "But the supporters have once again shown their backing for Graham, the team and the club with these excellent sales figures.
"We hope that even more supporters will take advantage of the next stage of early bird season ticket prices which enables fans to receive up to six free matches. I thank the supporters for their continued support.”
Sean Evans, ticket office supervisor at the Greenhous Meadow, added business had been brisk as the deadline approached.
He said: "It was great to see so many supporters renewing and it was also encouraging to see so many first time season ticket holders attracted by the early bird offer.
"Season tickets for the 2013-14 campaign remain on sale at a new price which still represent significant savings which equates to half a dozen free matches over the season.
"Having seen what other clubs offer in terms of early bird season ticket offers, Shrewsbury Town continue to promote one of the best value for money offers in League One."
The new deadline for the next stage of the early bird pricing structure for season tickets is May 4 and tickets can be purchased from the Greenhous Meadow box office from Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm.
