Fit-again Gayle back in the frame

18 April 2013

Cameron back into the Town squad and available

Cameron Gayle, the defender on loan from West Bromwich Albion, has returned to training with Shrewsbury and could figure in the squad for Saturday's final away game of the season at Colchester United.

Gayle has not played since sufering a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra on March 16.

"He's been over at West Brom for some time getting treatment and doing some rehabilitation," said manager Graham Turner. "He finally rejoined us on Tuesday, he's back into full training so he's obviously in consideration for being included in the squad for Colchester."

The manager added striker Marvin Morgan should today train for the first time this week and winger Mark Wright is also poised to resume full training again this morning. There's a chance he could feature in the last reserve team game of the season at Walsall on Monday.

But GT revealed the news was not so encouraging on defender Jermaine Grandison.

"It doesn't look as though Jermaine will play again this season," he said.
