Town and Storage King teamed up for Easter Egg collection

Staff at Bradbury House have written to Shrewsbury Town to thank the club for donating Easter Eggs.

We recently teamed up with Storage King to hand out a host of Easter Eggs to the local community.

The Storage King collection meant they had hundreds of eggs, donated from local businesses and the public, with many of them being given to Hope House Children’s Hospice.

But so many were donated that Sarah Hopkins, from Storage King, asked Martin James, the head of community development at Shrewsbury Town, for help in finding other deserving causes to receive the chocolate bonanza.

Martin arranged two visits to provide a little Easter cheer, dropping in at Crowmoor House care home and also Bradbury House, which helps children and young people with disabilities.

Anne Kiely, from Bradbury House, has now contacted the club to express their gratitude, sending a number of lovely pictures with her letter.

"Thank you so much for the donation of Easter Eggs for the Bradbury House coffee morning," wrote Anne.

"We used the eggs to provide an Easter Egg hunt in the garden for the children who use our short break service and their siblings.

"They all had a wonderful time and there were enough eggs to also send one each to all those unable to attend.

"The day was a huge success. We are aware that you are bombarded with requests for donations and are therefore very grateful you were able to support us in what we believe was a very worthwhile cause."
