Time to vote for your Player of the Year
Voting is now open to decide who will be Shrewsbury Town's Player of the Year for the 2012/13 season.
This prestigious award is voted for by the Shrewsbury Town fans so we want to know who is your star of the season? Matt Richards walked off with the silverware last season, but who's been your stand out performer this season with the club back in League One.
Perhaps Jon Taylor's eye for the spectacular goal has been enough to see him take the award? Maybe Luke Summerfield's energetic displays in midfield? What about the form of Jermaine Grandison at the back before injury so cruelly intervened? Or will consistent goalkeeper Chris Weale get his safe hands on the award?
The Player of the Year title is one coveted by all the players, but who deserves it? Who has been the most consistent player throughout the season?
Vote for your Player of the Year and ensure he gets the recognition he deserves.
The awards dinner will take place at the Greenhous Meadow later this month and it's a great way to honour the achievements of the players throughout the campaign, also serving as a chance to look back at the season.
Other awards to be presented include Goal of the Season – which will be voted for on the night - Players’ Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer.
Tickets are selling quickly for the always awards night, sponsored by Greenhous, so book yours soon to avoid disappointment.
The glitzy evening, a black tie event, will be held in the Greenhous Meadow's Sovereign Suite on Sunday, April 28, from 7pm.
There will be a number of presentations and interviews with the various award winners together with a large screen showing clips of the season’s many highlights.
The awards will be preceded by a delicious four-course meal.
“Our awards nights are always fantastic occasions and this will be no different," said Andrew Tretton, commercial sales executive at the Greenhous Meadow.
“Graham Turner and all his coaching and playing staff will be there so it’s a great chance to rub shoulders with some of your Town heroes and reflect on the season’s highlights, celebrating what has been our first season back in League One for 16 years.
"The response has once again been very good and if you would like to come along it would be advisable to reserve your place as soon as possible or risk disappointment."
