General manager Andy's charity mission

29 August 2013

Two cycle tests for Andy

Shrewsbury Town general manager Andy Pugh is getting on his bike for charity to raise money for the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust, a cause close to his heart.

Andy, no stranger to charity missions, is currently training hard for two cycling events.

He will take part in the London to Brighton 50 mile ride before, closer to home, getting back in the saddle for the Shropshire Kilo To Go 70 mile bike ride taking in the Longmynd and Long Mountain among others.

"Without the professionalism and care of the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust, a friend's daughter, Isabelle, wouldn't be here today," said Andy.

"Both bikes ride will be a big challenge, but I hope to raise as much money as possible for a fantastic cause so thank you to everyone for their support."

The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust supports the Neonatal Unit at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent.

The charity fundraises in order to buy the highly specialised and sophisticated equipment needed to care for very sick and premature babies.
