Callum gets experience at Market Drayton
Shrewsbury Town's England under-17 international goalkeeper Callum Burton has linked up with Evo-Stik League Market Drayton on a work experience loan.
Burton kept a clean sheet as Drayton picked up a point from a 0-0 draw at Kidsgrove yesterday after making his debut in a 2-2 draw at home to Goole on Saturday.
"It's more or less a work experience situation where he can go and get some good game time," said manager Graham Turner.
"Danny Coyne, our goalkeeping coach, went to watch him play yesterday at Kidsgrove and came back with a very good report of Callum's contribution.
"He looked commanding and made one or two good saves. It's good experience for him to be playing in men's football. He got clattered once and I think it was by one of his own players but got up and carried on with it.
"He'll probably play two or three more games at Market Drayton to help them out as well as giving him some good game time."
