Trialists in reserve line up

13 August 2013

Reserves take on Port Vale this afternoon

There will be a continental flavour to the Shrewsbury Town reserve side for this afternoon's opening Central League game of the season against Port Vale at the Greenhous Meadow (2pm).

Manager Graham Turner plans to run the rule over five trialists including players from Spain and Denmark.

"We've got five trialists playing in the game, Spanish, Danish, three English players, so we've got an opportunity to have a look at them," he said.

There will also be run outs for the players who were on the bench for Saturday's League One defeat at Leyton Orient.

GT added: "Alex McQuade and Dave McAllister will play, young Ryan Woods, Joe Anyon, and then there's the trialists and one or two young players."

Admission to this afternoon's game is £3 adults and £1 concessions while season ticket holders, Sovereign Club members and Super Blues Club members will be admitted free.
