Wildig ready for Swindon

Aaron looking to add to his goal tally

Aaron Wildig wants Shrewsbury Town's first win of the season to come this weekend but he knows Swindon, who made the League One play-offs last season, will provide tough opposition at the Greenhous Meadow.

"It's going to be another difficult game," said Wildig. "But every game in this league is.

"Swindon have signed a lot of young players as well, a lot from Tottenham, so it's going to be a difficult game, but it's one we're looking forward to."

Wildig stressed the mood around the club remained upbeat despite last weekend's defeat at Leyton Orient.

"We're still positive," said the former Cardiff City midfielder. "We watched the DVD of the Orient game on Tuesday, watched some of the good things we did even though we lost 3-0.

"It's just about staying positive. We're a small group and we've got to stick together. We all believe that results can come."

Wildig, on target for Town in the Capital One Cup clash against Bolton, is now hungry to keep breaking forward to grab his share of goals.

"I'm just trying to play well and take each game as it comes," he added. "I'm not looking too far ahead, but I'm going to keep trying to get forward and keep getting in there, in the box.

"There was the one against Milton Keynes when I should have scored. The other day at Orient I've had a couple of shots and the keeper made a good save from one of them."
