Gayle's ankle a concern

Cam misses training but is hoping to be back for Walsall game

Graham Turner will closely monitor the fitness of Cameron Gayle, the on loan West Bromwich Albion right back, ahead of Saturday's home game against Walsall.

Gayle is striving to recover from an ankle injury in time to be available to make his second home debut for Shrewsbury following his recent return from The Hawthorns.

The manager said: "Cameron Gayle turned his ankle in training and there's a slight element of doubt whether he'll be fit. He's certainly going to miss two or three days training."
