Grandison: "I'm very happy to be back"

Jermaine looking forward to pulling on the blue and amber shirt again

Jermaine Grandison insists he's delighted to be a Shrewsbury Town player once again after joining the club for a second time this week.

Grandison was all smiles after penning a deal until the end of the season with Town also having an option to extend it for another year.

"I'm very happy to be back," said Grandison, who turned 23 yesterday. "I really enjoy it here and I just can't wait to get back playing now.

"It's come at a good time and was kind of a birthday present for me. I just can't wait to get back on the pitch now and start doing well."

Grandison was always hopeful there would be a chance of sealing a return to the Greenhous Meadow despite moving on during the summer after declining the offer of a new contract.

He remained in close contact with the club during his rehabilitation from hip surgery and he's looking forward to picking up where he left off by producing some impressive displays in a blue and amber shirt.

"The chances of me coming back had been really high," he said. "I had been talking to the gaffer over the last few months so I've just been concentrating on my injury really and getting that right."
